Researching on the right things...

I set my priorities right this morning: spend the entire time surfing the net for wedding ideas, hairstyles, venues etc etc when I should really work on my homework. But hey between planning for a wedding (read: long term goal) and homework (read: short term goal) I think the choice is rather obvious.

Plus, I am still angry with the Prof for expecting us to work over the weekend when he openly declared 2 weeks ago that he has a life too and he is only going to send us the reading materials on Monday before lunch when the class is on Monday evening. Very considerate.

Anyway I went to the singaporebrides.com website and lo and behold there's basically everything I need. Today's research was focused on venues (although I got slightly distracted by the hairstyles). Here are some of the restaurant/hotels which I'm considering:

Noble House

Merchant Court

Carlton

Sheraton Towers

Hilton

Grand Copthrone Waterfront http://www.singaporebrides.com/hotels/grand_copthorne_waterfront/

Mandarin Oriental

Regent

Am also trying to see if I can get any useful information from forums and blogs. Here's where the so-called capability building from my job comes in handy i.e. assessing sentiments, identifying gaps and providing recommendations! Hopefully I can get a general sense of review from people who have organised/attended weddings before.

Have to relook at the theme as well, given that my initial "victorian/english" garden style wedding has gone down the drain after the Legends @ Fort Canning doesn't seem to be an ideal location afternoon... or are there any other locations with grand marquees?
