25 random things about me

Here're the 25 random things about me which I posted on Facebook as well. It's actually quite fun.. haha....

1. I really love personal space, which is why I on average spent about an hour in the bathroom before I go out (some of you might already know that), but hey that's the only place on earth where you are really alone with yourself k. And hence I find it quite amusing that one day my fiance couldn't control his curiosity and blurted,"What exactly are you doing in the bathroom????????!!!!" Till this day it's still a mystery to him.

2. I am curious about a lot of stuff but I have a short attention span.

3. On the issue of hobbies, I'd like to learn a lot of things but I don't like to go for classes. I prefer to do it my way. That's why I never did like going for piano lessons even though i liked playing the piano. For that matter I also don't like to follow recipes when I cook because I just like to experiment the dish myself even though it means making a mess and wasting the ingredients.

4. I seriously love Europe. If given the chance I'd migrate there.

5. When I was a child I suffered from an inferiority complex because I thought my sister looked better, had a gentler temper and was more popular. And I thought nobody liked me because I had a lousy temper which I obvioulsy thought was not my fault since I was born with it - Yes, a stubborn child indeed! But now I'm actually glad that I went through those phases of feeling that the whole world was unfair etc etc because I realised I've actually developed quite a resilient and independent character. And I'm seriously happy with who I am and what I have now (praise God!)

6. I love eating fries and chocolate ice-cream. But I can forego both if you give me a nice warm bed.

7. Whenever people say I'm a carbon copy of Mom, I really don't know how to react to that... When I was young I used to quarrel with her a lot so naturally I didn't take that as a compliment. But as I grow older I realised that she is not too bad afterall...

8. I weigh more than you think I weigh. My fiance said it's muscle mass but I don't know where.

9. I just have a thing for European castles because of Harry Potter. Or it could be the other way round... I have a thing for Harry Potter because of Hogwarts.

10. Religion aside, I wish I could do magic. Real magic. I wish I could fly or move things with a flick of my hand. No more having to pay for air tics or move heavy luggages between the trains when I travel.

11. I have a tendency to run and hide whenever I feel embarrassed. My face will turn really red and I'd look for things to hide behind, whether or not it can cover my full body.

12. Ooooh I love/hate (I don't know which) poking my face. I think it has become a recreational activity for me. When I was in my teens I pasted "Don't poke" and "Think before you squeeze!" notes on the toilet mirror. It never worked. My sister always laughed at these notes. Or at me.

13. Wrt pt 12, I think concealers are the most wonderful inventions on earth. (Yes, Fai. I know I shouldn't reveal this just like I shouldn't reveal that I had braces before! but nvm... )

14. I like dressing up but don't really follow the latest trend/fashion because erm... 1) everyone will be wearing the same thing and 2) it's normally out of my budget range. And I always wonder when people say "ooooh it's so you!"... is that supposed to be a compliment?

15. I don't like doing housework. That's the reason why I keep the kitchen as clean as possible when I cook - so that I don't have to do so much washing up after that. Having said, am quite proud of the fact that I did mop the floor, clean the toilet and wash my clothes every day when I was studying in France. Maybe that's because my place was only 9m2.

16. I've encountered people who behaved or looked like me. I actually felt horrified whenever that happened and immediately at the back of my mind I'd remind myself to kick those bad habits.

17. Deep inside me I have a fear that I'd treat my kids the way I treat my dog i.e. "come here! sit!" or "you are not going out.. go back inside!" or "have you been a good boy today?" or "where's your hand hand?? Give me your hand hand first" while dangling food in front of him.

18. I like taking photos of people (myself included) in all sorts of funny poses.

19. I love watching TV. So if I have to rank, it'd probably be sleep, TV, fries and chocolate ice-cream. The ideal scenario would be a nice warm bed with a TV in front, and loads of chocolate ice-cream and fries at the side table. I doubt I can move through the door though if I have this every day for 2 years straight.

20. I am proud of my self-proclaimed sense of creativity whether or not people understand/appreciate it. Art is subjective k.

21. Sometimes I behave more like a guy than a girl. And I quite like it.

22. I always thought I'd go for studious guys but my fiance proved me wrong. He is the crappiest person on earth and he makes me laugh. My lifelong de-stresser. Thank God for him.

23. I'm not a phone/sms person. I am a face-to-face and email person.

24. I just removed 2 wisdom teeth and I'm typing this with a swelling cheek and a mouth full of bloody saliva.
