Inspired by Alice

The Mad Hatter stops midway in making hats for the Red Queen and asks Alice Kingsley in horror: "Have I gone mad?

Alice pretends to check his temperature. "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers."

"But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are," she adds.

The Mad Hatter smiles.

Alice in Wonderland was running on ABC Family and Mr. Jang was commenting how boring the story was. But I've always found the storyline intriguing, even inspirational.

I've gone bonkers too... because I've told Mr. Jang that I'm training to become Nikita. Other than picking up jogging again, I'm doing daily stretches, crunches, push-ups and muscle toning exercies.

Too far a target?

Alice expressed horror at the enemy's monstrous champion: "This is impossible."

The Mad Hatter replied: "Only if you believe it is."

Too bad the only ass I got to 'kick' is Mr. Jang's. Haha.

Home after a 5-km run.

My best kick ass pose.

All that exercise

I have been swimming quite often nowadays. Ok - I won't call swimming 10 laps each time a real work out but still, I have been swimming. And I just went for an East Coast cycling trip with Chick and Sis today. We resisted the temptation to indulge in hot fudge sundaes and fries after our so-called work out. BUT by dinner time, Sis and I could not hold it any longer. We ordered the greasy chicken rice instead of the fishball noodle we were supposed to have. And erm, Mr. Jang bought 2 bags of potato chips for us after dinner. We started eating them once we got home, and tried to compensate for it by eating fruits at the same time.

Erm... I'm wondering now if all these exercises are making us fatter instead of healthier, cos we now have a justification to eat all the junk?!

Mr. Jang and I said that we would aim towards shedding 2 kg each by the end of the month. Apr 30 is fast approaching, and I'm quite sure I'm nowhere near the target. Ok - I'm definitely not gaining any weight, but am definitely no losing any either. Plus, I have no perseverance nor stamina. Mr. Jang can run a longer distance and swim more laps than me, while I will stop at the slightest sign of breathlessness.

Sigh. I better bring back that sports girl in me quickly if I really want to look fit.

Pant, pant, pant

I swam, walked, crawled, floated, waded 20 laps across the pool today... because Mr. Jang and I were possessed and we shared an upsized nuggets meal plus an extra box of 20-piece nugget for "afternoon tea"!

I am so over my fast-food quota for the month but nevermind... I'm allergic to stress and unhappiness! So I shall eat all I want... Grrr.....

Surviving 10 laps

After my usual Sunday morning of attending church service, Sis and I decided that it was time to burn off a few calories by attempting to swim. After assessing that we were still presentable in our bikinis, we went off for a dip in the pool.

We said we would do 10 laps since we won't have that much of time before the boys ended their baptism class. Boy, I had barely finished 4 laps when I was panting like mad. By the time I finished 6 laps, I felt like I was about to foam at the mouth . And towards the end of it (yes, I did 10 laps!), I really felt like vomitting.

The I-want-to-puke kind of feeling persisted even as I showered. My hands actually shook when I reached for the shower foam.

I can't believe that my stamina had gone that bad. What ever happened to this one time sportswoman?? How am I going to lose that 3 kg if I could barely do 10 laps!!

Exercise... or is it?

Felt much better today and so I thought I'd head to East Coast to do some exercise with Sis.

It rained barely 20 minutes after we've parked our car and put on our blades. It was as if the sky was telling us to head back home. But not before we have our ice-creams!

At least on this last day of my life, I took the step to relax and have some fun, even if it's only for the short 20 mins.
